Open Question: Why do people freak out around bows and arrows?

I was at my friend's baseball game and was getting bored because there wasn't much action, so I took out my archery set which I had brought to his house earlier and started to shoot into the distance (a field that was really long and no people or animals in the way. There were a couple of kids watching from a safe distance (about 10 feet behind me) and one decided to be helpful and picked up the arrow to give back to me. Then this random guy started to freak out and have a spazz attack and go "Whoa! Bow and Arrow! Kids Sit Down!" I tried to calmly explain that if you take safety precautions it can be safe for the kids to watch but he cut me off and said "You know what, anything can happen"and i thought "Yeah because you know the arrow is just gonna randomly fly back at us at stab us to death". He began to pull the kids like 30 feet back and block them like I was pointing it at them, so I decided to put it down realizing it kind of freaked him out thinking he would stop. But no! he had to take it a step further and walk up to the bleachers and yell "Somebody brought a bow and arrow! Who did it?!?", I said it was mine (obviously) And this woman began pulling the kids back and I felt so embarrassed that I felt like shooting myself with the bow and arrow. I ended up having to put it in his mother's car. The guy did apologize if it seemed like he was chewing me out but I was still mad at him. So I would like to know why even though I was taking safety precautions and no one was near me at all why these people freaked out and ended up embarrassing me in front of a lot of people.

Open Question: What type of recurve bow should I get?

Hi, I'm a 15 year old boy who is looking to start Archery. I have discovered that my maximum draw back in lb is 22. I am right handed and am quite short at the height of 5ft 1. Because of my height I can only guess a bow at the maximum size of 62" (I guess). I am willing to spend around £60 - £80. I have looked at the bow, Samick Cyclope, but the though of having to put the arrow through the riser kind of throws me off, especially how its almost assisting you. Then again I haven't really used one before. If anyone can help me that will be helpful. Thanks.

Open Question: I want to create a group or something at school.....?

but how would i go about to do this? who should i go to, to ask if i can create a group thing? *group- e.g. environmental group, archery group, etc (though the group i want to create is not like any of these) i have my form/home teacher, 2 deans, year level coordinator, and myself and an older student because we help people in our house/school its very hard to see our principle because i have a huge school with over 2400 (last years count) should i see a senior management teacher?
